Pet Owner Training

Mill Creek Kennel’s basic obedience program is designed for the non-hunter pet owner who wants their canine to be a well-behaved citizen at home and away. Pet owners of all kinds understand the frustration and safety factors involved with a pet that simply doesn’t obey their owner. Our program focuses on control and confidence for both pet and handler so the dog understands that you are in charge. 

Lessons involve teaching SIT, STAY, HERE, HEEL, DOWN beginning on short-lead and working up to off-lead commands. Basic obedience for most dog’s that have been properly socialized and of average intelligence requires six to eight weeks of instruction on site at Mill Creek’s facility. Owner participation is required during the learning process.  Contact us for more information about classes and pricing
